About the game: 

Duran Quest is a 2D, Top-down pixel art adventure game inspired mainly by The Legend of Zelda games style. The focus will mainly be on interacting with different NPCs and finding captivating interactions and quests. We don't plan to do generic sidequests just to prolong the game's excitement, but rather unusual occasions based on real events that we heard about in conversations between friends, with a good seasoning of fantasy to adapt to the game's universe.

Synopsis:

Duran is a young boy who works in a potions shop with an attractive witch named Agnes. Duran's job is just to deliver orders and collect ingredients for the store, but this seemingly simple role will trigger a series of spicy misadventures. One day that should be ordinary for Duran, after doing a favor for a friend (and being duly rewarded), a woman arrives in Greenville asking for help. This woman is Mai, Princess Theodora's companion and best friend, who was captured by goblins while the two were taking a break from their boring routine in the castle.

What will be in the game: 

The direct inspiration is The Legend of Zelda, however we planned some systems for the game. Here are some examples of planned mechanics.

• Potion Recipes

Duran is just a delivery man at the beginning of the journey, but direct contact with magic, ingredients and potions will make him learn how to make a variety of potions, from simple ones like basic healing potions, to more complex potions with transformation effects, for example.

• Special Ingredients 

To make potions, Duran will find different ingredients when exploring. 

• Secrets

 Secrets and secret paths will reward the most curious. Collectibles, ingredients and unique NPCs will be hidden throughout the world.

• Exploration Tools and Skills

Obviously, a game inspired by The Legend of Zelda will need to have tools that help explore the map and access new areas.
